What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Here are a few photos of the technology that I have used over the period of the course. Adobe Photoshop is the main program we used and we used it to create all of our products like our front covers and double page spreads. Using photoshop was a challange at first with the concept of layering and using the different tools but nearer to the end of the work unit, I managed to grasp the basics and a lot more. I learnt how to use layers and how they work in unison with each other. Turning layers off see what needs doing is also very helpfull along with using the different layer preset settings like screen and disolve ect. Also, there are a number of different filters in Photoshop like the blur tools. these are usefull as you can create differnt effects like a fading image or just simply bluring the edges. The gradient and paint bucket tool came in very handy when masking. After using the lassoo tool to mask a specific area, the paint bucket tool could fill the specified area and also, the gradient tool could give an effect of colour change, from one colour to the next.
We used the online service called Blogger to keep a record of our work to send to the examinor for marking. This tool was very usefull as we learnt how to post our work online for the whole world to see. I learnt about HTML coding and how to embedd things like videos into posts which link up to my work. I also learnt how to link up all of my posts into different pages called 'Labels'. The labels help catagorise your work and to make everything easy to find and to make it easier to nevigate around.
Also, the online photo sharing program Flikr to annotate our work and to make sure that people could easily read what the captions were. With Flikr, You can use their annotation tool to highlight different sections of an image. You can then title your sectioned pat of the image and also write about what the peice shows.
